Online ad is an emerging trend of advertisement and it is getting popular year by year. During the recession it slowed down but now it is recovering from that impact. Among all nations U.K shows better surge in spending statistic in current year.

Ad servingAccording to IAB U.K’s biannual advertising expenditure report, U.K spending on online advertising has grown up to 4.2 percent and this is the first nation who shows the positive result after the adverse economic conditions. This research estimates that total spending on ad reaches to £3.5 billion ($5.2 billion) in 2009 whereas only £3.5 billion ($5.1 billion) reaches in 2008.

Among all paid search was one of the biggest growth drivers and according to IAB estimates they grew 9.5 percent year-over-year. Within this category, video ad witnessed striking spending in ad industry and spending of 140 percent is noticed in 2009 which is much higher than 2008.

Retail and consumer packaged goods advertisers made high drive growth and shifting spend from traditional channels. According to the report consumer goods advertisers made 10.1 percent of display ad spending in 2009, where as retail accounted for 11.9 percent of total spend during the second half of the year.

Hence, there is a growth in on-line spending statistics and it is increasing at very fast pace. As time goes by it will be as it was earlier.
