Generally, substance abuse can cause some behavioral health problems. Sometimes, this behavioral health problems can lead to suicide attempts. According Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHA), every community is affected by behavioral health problems around US, but they may not be same in every place. It differs from one place to another.
There are different behavioral health problems in different places. The information about them may be helpful in targeting the behavioral health services to some places where there is a need of them.
A state by state analysis of substance abuse and metal illness pattern is provided in the report. The useful information is provided by this report for state public health authorities and service providers on a wide range of substance use and mental illness issues by which states are affected.
The findings in report:
- 90 percent of the states have the illegal drug use problem among teens who are aged 12 or older.
- There is a reduction of using cocaine among teenagers in thirteen states.
