Chevrolet ‘Beat Diesel’ Launched in Indian Auto Market

General Motors India launched the new model ‘Chevrolet Beat Diesel’ on 25th July 2011. According to the sources from the company, since the petrol prices are increasing in India day by day, diesel Beat will be beneficial to the regular car users, they have the chance to decrease the fuel expenses. Beat is creating a revolution in the small car segment with fuel economy and engine capacity. Chevrolet’s Beat Diesel car comes with the 1.3L multi jet engine with one cylinder.

GM sold over one lakh of their units in 2010, and they are performing good at present. They have a plan to sell 1.4 lakh of their units and achieve the 30% higher sales growth than the last year. Presently they have the 250 sales and service centers all over the India, they want to increase it to 300 sales and service centers by the end of the 2011. GM already is going to set up their new manufacturing centers in south India, they have plan to increase their production up to 2.4 lakh units from the present production capacity of 1 lakh units.
