From any part of the world we can only see the increase in the number of users. And within less time, it overtook all the existing social networking sites and created a brand image for itself. Unless, it is useful and makes some sense, it is difficult to achieve such results. The developers and the team at Facebook strive hard to make it even more better and easier for the user by enabling them with more interesting tools.

Facebook reached another milestone in Latin America by reaching 91 million users all along from that region. According to the reports released by Com score, Facebook stood as a strong leader in the Latin American Social networking market reaching more than 91 million visitors in June, up from 52 percent in the past year.

Facebook audience were nearly three times the size of the next largest site, Windows Live Profile, which reached 35.6 million visitors in the region. Orkut held the third place with 34.4 million visitors, driven largely by the site’s popularity in Brazil. Meanwhile, Twitter.com ranked as the fourth largest site with 24.3 million visitors with 59 percent as Latin Americans continued to embrace tweeting.

The post Facebook Reached 91 Million Users in Latin America first appeared on BIG-TOPICS.COM.

It is a well know fact that teens have the highest penetration in to the social networking sites than any other age group. A new survey conducted by Pew Internet & American Life Project, in partnership with the Family Online Safety Institute found that 16% of online teens used Twitter in 2010 which is double the 8% figure found in 2009.

The survey also revealed that teen girls are more than twice as likely as boys to use the twitter service with 22% whereas the boys stood at 10% of the total populations. Furthermore, blacks are the people who use internet more than three times than the whites and also more than Hispanics. In case of older teens, the teens belonging to the higher income group are using more of internet when compared to the lower income group.

However, instead of these percentages, twitter is far from being called as the teen’s social network of choice since it is overtaken by the popular site facebook with 89% of the people having account in facebook, while only 59% have a twitter account. Also among teens with multiple accounts, 99% have profiles on facebook and in multi-network user group and only 29% had an account on Twitter.

The post Teen Girls are Tweeting More Than Boys: e Marketer first appeared on BIG-TOPICS.COM.
